The Itinerary
Tuesday:
Exploring Rovinj
We will spend the morning traveling to the Isteria peninsula to land in the island city of Rovinj. We love it here and you will too! We can take a short hike enroute to check out more waterfalls and the natural beauty of Croatia. Then, just as in Ljubljana, we will stay and play in the pedestrian zone of Rovinj. With its charming winding streets, vibrant harbor, and exceptional seafood restaurants, this town offers an unforgettable experience that will create lasting memories. For dinner we will dine seaside and enjoy fresh coastal cuisine at one of our favorite restaurants in Rovinj.
Wednesday:
Walking or Biking along the Adriatic Sea
Walk the wonderful trails along the Adriatic Sea or rent a bike and pedal away.
As the day fades we will enjoy a sunset cruise where dolphins frequently play.
Thursday: Pula Roman Ruins and Kayaking
Pula is known for its rich history and well-preserved Roman architecture. The city's most famous landmark is the Arena, a massive Roman amphitheater that dates back to the 1st century AD and is one of the best-preserved in the world.
Pula also boasts a charming old town, featuring ancient temples, such as the Temple of Augustus, and picturesque streets lined with cafes and shops. Time for some kayaking and snorkeling. Play in some of the clearest water in the world while we paddle along stunning cliffs and in unique caves. With its blend of history, culture, and beautiful coastal scenery, Pula is a captivating destination that highlights Croatia's diverse heritage. |
Friday:
Skocjan Caves | Predjama Castle | Bled
Today we leave Croatia and head into Slovenia on our way to beautiful Bled. We will visit one of the largest cavern systems on the planet at Skocjan Caves, famous for their spectacular underground landscapes and one of the largest known underground canyons in the world.
Following this, we will tour the Predjama castle, a breathtaking medieval fortress built into a cliff, with its own unique slice of history.
Saturday:
Pletna Boat | Bled Castle
Bled is like visiting a 3D postcard. The lake is stunning, the castle majestic, and the Bled cream cake divine! We will take a Pletna boat to the island and view the 17th century church built there. Spend the afternoon walking or biking around the lake with options to go ziplining, kayaking, rafting, SUP, or paragliding.
Wednesday: Departures from Ljubljana Airport
Return to Ljubljana for afternoon departures.
