Dan is an internationally renowned nutrition and fitness expert who has presented his strategies to thousands of executives worldwide to improve personal health and longevity, reduce healthcare costs, and achieve greater workplace productivity. Dan’s engaging, interactive style inspires clients to realize permanent, life-changing results, and he is recognized across multiple mediums as a leader in the field. Dan is an entrepreneur, speaker, 30 year veteran of the martial arts, former Guinness World Endurance Record holder for the 48 hour treadmill marathon, ultra-runner, scuba diver, and father of two amazing boys. He is a Certified Nutrition Coach with the International Board of Nutrition & Fitness Coaching and holds Masters degrees in Business Administration, Strategic Leadership, and Project Management. Dan’s education transcends nutrition, allowing him to identify with the challenges faced by today’s busy executives. ITINERARY

Day 1 - July 20: arrive in Venice, Italy | Groznjan hill town
Pick up at 1PM at Cafe Rita 100 meters north of the water taxi drop off place at Venice Marco Polo Airport (not inside the airport terminal). Please have finished lunch, paid your bill and be ready to go.
If we have time, and depending on how long the border crossing takes we may visit Groznjan, - an interesting hill town. Please have your passports handy for the border crossing.
Drive to Rovinj (3-4 hours) and check into hotel. The romantic seaside town of Rovinj has plenty to do including biking or hiking along the coast in a beautiful park, swimming in the Adriatic, shopping, exploring, and/or a sunset boat ride to watch the sunset, relaxing, time on your own.

DAY 2 and 3 - July 21 & 22: Rovinj sites and activities
Day 4 and 5 - July 23 & 24: Pula | Postojna Caves | Ljubljana
One hour drive to 3,000 year old town of Pula for a 1-2 hour walking tour and see the Roman arena and temple. Drive two hours along the coast and a lunch stop and onto the seaside resort town of Opatija. Walk parts of the 12km coastal walk, explore the town, swim, relax.
Drive one hour (border crossing) and do a 2 hour guided walk through the UNESCO Postojna caves in Slovenia. Maybe also stop at a nearby castle. Drive one hour to the capital of Ljubljana, stay in the old town area. There is a huge park to walk in, a castle to explore, the city to explore with great shopping, vibe and restaurants. Option to SUP or boat ride down the Ljubljanica river.

Day 6 and 7 - July 25 & 26 Triglav National Park | Vitnar Gorge | Lake Bled | Lake Bohinj
Drive one hour to Triglav national park and visit the mountain museum, and/or visit and hike Vitnar Gorge. Drive to Lake Bled (one hour) and spend a few hours in Bled walking or biking around the lake, visiting the castle and/or taking a boat to the chapel on the lake. Continue onto more tranquil Lake Bohinj (one hour drive). Stay near the lake and options include to canoe, SUP, rafting, tandem parasail, swim, bike, walk, relax.
Up the cable car on nearby Vogel mountain and hike for views of the Julian Alps, afternoon at Lake Bohinj. Stay near the lake and options include to canoe, SUP, rafting, tandem parasail, swim, bike, walk, relax.

Day 8 - July 27: Tomin Gorge | Smartno
Take the car train through the mountains (one-two hours) and hike the Tolmin gorge. Option to visit Kobarid (one hour there and back) where Ernest Hemingway was based during WW1 and visit a WW1 museum. Then onto the town of Smartno (one hour) where we will walk around then onto the winery where we will spend the evening and night. Relax, swim in the pool, taste wine, option to help prepare dinner in the kitchen.
Day 9 - July 28: Departures
Drive (2 hours) to Venice airport (or nearby hotels such as the Airport Marriott), drop off late morning.
